RX-0 Full Armor

The RX-0 Full Armor is probably the largest Ver Ka injection plastic model kit to date. The plastic is molded in separate colors, meaning that no paint is required.
It is very easy to snap together and does not require any glue. The product also comes with an official Bluefin and Bandai Namco label from the testing department which has been thoroughly tested for safety and meets all North American consumer product safety regulations.
This means that you have access to product support assistance from the company if there are any problems with your item.
The RX-0 Full Armor is aircraft-grade injection molded plastic rather than the usual hollow soft plastic. It has some really nice raised panel lines and does not require any paint to look nice.
There are a tremendous amount of parts that allows for detail like never before seen on an official Bandai kit, but this also means lots of seams. The product is recommended for modelers with experience building injection-plastic kits.
The RX-0 Full Armor has very nice detail molded into it. It looks fantastic on display with the rest of your Master Grades or even on its own if you are a fan of the Unicorn Series characters.
If you are just starting out you might want to purchase a Master Grade or even High Grade instead of jumping straight into this kit. If you are an advanced modeler you probably already have the RX-0 Full Armor in your possession.
Overall this is an excellent Ver Ka injection plastic model kit. It has nice detail and lots of options making it really worth the money. The RX-0 Full Armor definitely looks great on display with other Master Grade kits but also stands well on its own.
We would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a 1/100 scale RX-0 Unicorn Gundam.

Gundam RX-0 Ver Ka is the newest addition to the Gundam Unicorn Mobile Suit. It’s a high-performance machine that has an enhanced system for protecting its pilot.
Gundam RX-0 Ver Ka also comes with two bazookas called the Beam Shield, the novel Atom Scissor Claw, and Triple Beam Rifle. With all these enhancements, Gundam RX-0 looks to be a force to reckoned with in battle.
Gundam RX-0 Ver Ka has more of dark blue color on it, contrasting the light blue of the normal Gundam.
We think it looks very nice! The red striping and eyes really make this suit look awesome. You can pose Gundam RX-0 with three different display stands one that lets you do transformation poses, one for flying poses, and one with a static pose. You can switch the parts to make all sorts of cool poses with the Gundam RX-0 Ver Ka.
This is the Beam Shield bazooka that also acts as an auxiliary power system for extending its time in use. You can put this part over the right shoulder of the Mobile Suit. You can also use it as a regular beam rifle or bazooka.
The fact that you can transform this suit is really cool! When it’s in Unicorn mode, you can see the head cannons on its back. For Destroy Mode, just flip over the armor and bring out the claws to pose with.
Another cool thing about this kit is that it comes with a stand for flying poses.
This kit has a lot of detail put into it, and I think people will be really impressed when they see how much you can do with the Gundam RX-0 Ver Ka.
The transformation is impressive, but if you were to buy two kits, one would be enough to recreate all the different poses. There’s also a stand for doing transformation poses. We would like people to build it and enjoy this kit!

Gundam 02 BANSHEE Ver.

The Gundam 02 BANSHEE Ver. is a large-scale model kit that captures the spirit of the Unicorn Gundam in its Mg perfectly. It comes with an assortment of weapons, decals, and markings which are neatly laid out in the manual for ease of assembly.
The build was straightforward, but not necessarily easy due to some parts being heavy or fragile. Some users might use their time on painting rather than assembling since they enjoy the build process more than they would have if they assembled everything by themselves.
Scant attention is paid to anything but the head in this kit. The head itself looks great completed minus some seam lines on the back that are hard to reach while posing it or adding decals. One downside is that the eyes can’t be seen unless you look closely inside of the head since the eyepiece is a solid piece.
The chest features a molded-in beam saber effect which looks nifty but doesn’t really shine through because it’s not painted over to reveal it.
Another downside was that the waist armor plates couldn’t be attached as shown on the box. We are not sure if this is intentional or an error on our part, but it did make the kit look off and quite noticeable.
The forearm has a long beam saber extension for storage and looks good when attached, but again the quality of the mold didn’t allow it to be painted over so you just have a clear piece of plastic.
The legs feature some really nice molded detail on the knees, but once again these details are hidden because they are unpainted.
The skirts were interesting to build with the way it’s attached and the added details that aren’t visible unless you want to spend time fiddling around with them. Getting them right is tricky since they don’t snap on, but once they are right they look good.
The backpack has some really nice details molded in the fins and this is a piece you should definitely paint as it’ll make it pop out much better as opposed to leaving it as a grayish-blue. The BANSHEE’s signature V-fin is attached with ample use of polycaps to allow you to pose it in any way.
The kit comes with four loose beam sabers which can be stored on the hips or back depending on how you want them displayed.
The forearms are unique among other Mg kits because of their cylindrical design and ability to hold ammo cartridges for the Gatling gun attached to them.
It wouldn’t be a BANSHEE without the Gatling gun, but it is an odd choice for this kit since there are no other weapons that can be held on the arm. Also, the joint on mine was loose which prevented me from putting it in all 4 positions shown on the box art.
The backpack features little details between the fins for added effect.
The BANSHEE’s signature weapon, the Gatling gun is available to be attached on the shoulder or forearm. The hand swaps easily without any problems, but there’s really no need to use it if you’re not going to show much of it since it sticks out quite a bit when attached.
The wing binders are very maneuverable and attach easily with a simple poly-cap to ball joint connection. The grooves on the inside of the part that attaches to the arms actually help you place it correctly without any hassles.
The beam magnum is a nice addition and can be stored on the back of the suit. The handle slides in easily and locks into place without any problems.
The BANSHEE’s shield features a ball-jointed connection for added mobility and to allow it to fold up properly. On top of that, you get little details such as molded-in vents and little thrusters.
The beam saber effect parts attach to the back of the shield and are a nice touch for this kit. A downside would be that it’s not really visible from most angles since the wing binders are blocking it unless you’re looking right underneath them.
Our thoughts on this kit? In terms of a Gundam Unicorn Mg kit, the BANSHEE is a basic one that requires you to build it by going through each step in order.
The way they’ve designed this kit is very sturdy overall, even though there are some areas that look flimsy during assemblies like the loose forearm or loose backpack fins.

Hobby Japan is an excellent company that produces high-quality figures. The Hobby RX-0 OVA figure is no exception.
This 1/144 scale Gundam Unicorn Mg Figure measures 4 inches tall and stands on a 3-inch diorama base, which can be removed to show the inner frame.
This figure does not have many points of articulation, but it still looks great even though it doesn’t move much. If you’re looking for a static poseable Gundam Unicorn Mg Figure, this one would serve your purposes well.
The colors, details, and sculptures are all top-notch. As with many Gundam Figures, this one comes with an LED piece to make it look even more real! The eyes light up whenever the battery is plugged in.
The LED unit has a switch that turns on the light when you plug it into the back of the head. We rather like this feature because it looks cool, but there is no battery compartment so you will need to remove it every time you want to replace the batteries.
This figure would be perfect for displaying on your desk or if you’re a big fan of Gundam Unicorn, this figure would be perfect for your collection.
One interesting thing about this figure is that the manual gives you an option on how to display it. You can either have the Unicorn Gundam inactive with its Psycho Frame exposed or if you prefer, you can have the Psycho Frame concealed.
This figure is very well made and we think many people would enjoy adding it to their collection. The Hobby RX-0 OVA Figure is definitely worth the money!
The beam magnum gun barrel cannot be extended. The box says that there is a mechanism that allows the barrel to be extended and fired, but this is not true.
The back of the box shows a feature that allows you to attach an action base 1 adaptor (not included) which looks like it might make up for this shortcoming.
This figure is marketed as a “High Complete Model”, which means that it will stand without needing to be attached to anything (action base).
The manual has a double-sided sheet with six poses and various points of articulation. The back of the box has some nice little pictures of the figure, but it is only printed in black and white (no color pictures).
This figure looks great next to my other 1/144 scale Gundam figures. We would recommend it to other passionate modelers.
The RX-0 comes with its iconic IWSP rifle but what sets it apart from most starter Gunpla kits is its large size (at close to 600 pieces). For a kit this large, it’s an affordable price and is one of the best deals for modelers wanting to get started in building robots.
